Privacy Policy for VintagePod

In short: VintagePod does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. It has no analytics, no ad tracking, and no user accounts. Any music library data or server credentials it uses stay on your device.

Overview

VintagePod ("the App") is a music player for iOS. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it's used, and where it's stored. VintagePod is built to work entirely on your device — it does not have a backend server, does not require you to create an account, and does not include any advertising or analytics software from us or from third parties.

Data the App Accesses

Data We Do Not Collect

No account or sign-up is required to use the App.
No analytics, crash reporting, or usage-tracking SDKs are included in the App.
No advertising identifiers are read or used.
We do not operate any server that receives your library, listening activity, or personal information.
We never sell or share your data, because we never receive it in the first place.

Network Connections

VintagePod makes network requests only when you configure it to do so — for example, connecting to a personal Subsonic-compatible media server you've set up to stream your own music library. These connections go directly from your device to the server address you provide; VintagePod itself is not a party to that connection and does not log or relay it. If you don't add a streaming server, the App makes no network requests related to your music at all.

Data Sharing

VintagePod does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third party, because the App does not collect or transmit personal data to us in the first place.

Children's Privacy

VintagePod does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App stores everything locally on-device and has no account system or data collection, there is no personal data for us to hold about any user.

Your Choices

You can revoke VintagePod's access to your Apple Music library at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music.
You can remove a configured streaming server, which deletes its saved credentials from the Keychain, from within the App's settings.
Deleting the App removes all locally stored library data, settings, and cached artwork from your device.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, an updated version will be posted at this same location with a revised "Last updated" date.
